Possible Causes
Shorted lock motor, Lock motor drawing excessive current, Shorted wiring to lock motor, Control board lock driver failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker.
- Inspect lock assembly: Check for signs of overheating or melting around the lock motor and wiring.
- Test motor: Measure resistance of the lock motor. A very low reading may indicate an internal short; replace the lock assembly.
- Check harness: Inspect wiring for shorts to chassis or between conductors. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
- Replace control: If the motor and wiring are good but F94 persists, the main control board lock driver may be damaged and require replacement.
