LG electric cooktop displays HS on a burner indicator after turning it off; surface remains warm.

Safety first: Do not touch the burner area while HS is displayed.

• Normal operation: HS indicates the glass surface is still hot. This is normal and will clear once the surface cools.
• If HS stays on when cool: If the cooktop is completely cool but HS remains, disconnect power at the breaker for 5 minutes to reset the control.
• Persistent HS: If HS still shows on a cool burner, the hot surface sensor or the radiant element's sensor circuit may be faulty and require replacement, or the control board may be misreading the signal.
