Possible Causes
Child lock feature enabled, Accidental key press sequence, Stuck lock button
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is not a hardware failure; no disassembly is required.
- Disable child lock: On most LG ranges, press and hold the Lock or Control Lock key for 3–5 seconds until the LOC indicator turns off. On some models, press and hold Clear/Off and 0 together.
- Check user manual: If unsure of the key combination, refer to the model-specific user manual for the child lock instructions.
- Stuck key: If LOC will not clear, check if any key is physically stuck. If so, the keypad may need cleaning or replacement.
