Control knobs are hard to turn or feel loose and wobbly.

• Remove knobs: Pull the knobs straight off the shafts.
• Clean area: Clean the panel and around the valve stems with mild detergent and a cloth. Do not flood the stems with liquid.
• Inspect knobs: Check for cracks in the plastic hubs. Replace knobs that do not grip the shaft firmly.
• Valve condition: If knobs remain stiff, the gas valves may be worn. Replacing gas valves requires disassembling the manifold and should be done by a qualified technician.
