Possible Causes

Burned-out bake heating element, Loose or burned element terminals, Broken wiring between element and control, Failed bake relay on EOC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before touching any wiring or elements.

Steps:

  • Inspect element: Look for visible breaks, blisters, or burn marks on the bake element at the bottom of the oven. Replace if damaged.
  • Continuity test: Remove the element mounting screws and gently pull it forward. Disconnect wires and test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace if open.
  • Check terminals: Inspect the element terminals and wire connectors for burning or looseness. Replace damaged connectors and repair wiring.
  • Control check: If the element and wiring are good, the EOC bake relay may be faulty. Replace the EOC.

Tip: When installing a new element, ensure it is properly supported by clips and not touching the oven liner.
