Possible Causes

Uncalibrated touch control, No cookware or incompatible cookware on induction zone, Faulty touch sensor board, Loose harness between user interface and main board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing any cooktop glass or control panels.

Steps:

  • Check cookware: On induction Magic Chef cooktops, ensure you are using flat-bottomed, magnetic cookware that fully covers the cooking zone. Try another pan.
  • Control reset: Turn power OFF for 1 minute, then back ON. Some models require a touch control calibration sequence (refer to the user manual).
  • Clean surface: Wipe the glass surface dry and remove any spills or residue that may interfere with touch sensors.
  • Inspect wiring: If E0 persists, remove the cooktop and inspect the touch control board and harness to the main power board. Reseat connectors and look for damage.
  • Replace board: Replace the touch control/user interface board if it fails to respond after reset and wiring checks.

Warning: Induction and radiant cooktops contain high-voltage components. If you are not comfortable working around live circuits, contact a professional.
