Possible Causes
Control lock feature engaged by user, Stuck lock button on keypad, Software glitch in EOC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal repair is needed for normal lock operation. If disassembling, disconnect power first.
Steps:
- Unlock sequence: Press and hold the designated LOCK or CONTROL LOCK key for 3–5 seconds (refer to the Magic Chef user manual). On some models, press and hold START or CANCEL + another key.
- Power reset: If the lock will not clear, turn the breaker OFF for 1 minute, then ON, and try the unlock sequence again.
- Check keypad: If the lock indicator remains and keys are unresponsive, the keypad may be faulty. Inspect and replace the touchpad/control panel if necessary.
Note: LOC is usually not a fault code but a user-activated feature.
