Possible Causes

Shorted heating element, Pinched or bare wiring touching chassis, Failed terminal block, Incorrect breaker size or shared circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Leave the breaker OFF until the fault is found. Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker.

Steps:

  • Isolate component: Turn off all burners and oven functions. Turn the breaker ON, then turn on one function at a time to see which causes the trip.
  • Inspect wiring: With power OFF, remove rear and bottom panels to inspect wiring to the suspect element or burner. Look for melted insulation or wires touching metal.
  • Check elements: Test suspect elements for continuity to ground (one meter lead on element terminal, one on chassis). Replace any element that is shorted to ground.
  • Terminal block: Inspect the power cord terminal block for burns or loose connections. Replace if damaged.

Warning: If you are not comfortable working with 240V circuits, contact a licensed electrician or appliance technician.
