Electronic range control beeps, displays F1-1 and oven functions are disabled

Safety first: Turn the range OFF at the breaker and verify the cooktop and oven are cool before working near the control panel.

• Power reset: Shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power. If F1-1 returns within a few minutes, the fault is likely hard.
• Check for stuck keys: With power OFF, wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Look for any keys that feel different, sunken, or stuck.
• Inspect for moisture: Remove the back panel behind the control (usually a few screws from the rear). Look for signs of moisture, corrosion, or burned spots on the keypad ribbon connector and control board.
• Reseat keypad ribbon: Gently unplug the flat ribbon cable from the electronic oven control (EOC), inspect for corrosion, clean with electronic contact cleaner if available, and reconnect firmly.
• If code persists: The keypad/touchpad assembly or the EOC is defective. On many Maytag ranges these are integrated; on some models they are separate. Replace the touchpad or the complete control panel/EOC assembly according to your model’s parts diagram.
• Test: Restore power and test all keys. If any key does not respond or F1-1 reappears, replacement of the control assembly is required. If you are not comfortable working with live wiring, contact a qualified technician.
