Possible Causes

Shorted oven temperature sensor, Sensor wiring shorted to chassis, Failed EOC sensor input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing panels or touching wiring.

  • Access sensor: Remove the oven sensor as described for F1-3 and unplug the connector.
  • Measure resistance: At room temperature, measure resistance across the sensor terminals. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor; replace it.
  • Inspect wiring: If the sensor tests normal (~1050–1100 Ω), inspect the harness from the sensor to the control board for melted insulation or bare spots touching metal. Repair any damaged sections with high-temperature wire and proper connectors.
  • Check at control board: From the rear, remove the control panel cover and verify the sensor wires are not pinched or shorted at the EOC connector.
  • Replace EOC if needed: If wiring and sensor are good but F1-4 persists, replace the electronic oven control.
