Possible Causes
Open upper oven sensor, Broken wiring to upper sensor, Loose connector at EOC upper sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker.
- Identify upper sensor: On double-oven Maytag ranges, locate the sensor in the upper cavity rear wall.
- Test sensor: Remove the sensor, unplug it, and measure resistance. If it reads open (OL) or far from 1050–1100 Ω at room temperature, replace it.
- Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the upper sensor to the control board for breaks or burns. Repair or replace as needed.
- Check EOC connector: Ensure the upper sensor connector is fully seated on the EOC.
