How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool.
- Inspect broil element: Look at the upper element for breaks or burn marks. Replace if damaged.
- Check wiring: Access the rear of the range and inspect broil element terminals and wiring for burns or loose connections.
- Test continuity: Disconnect one wire and measure resistance. Replace the element if open.
- Check control output (advanced): If the element is good but does not heat, test for 240 VAC at the element when broil is selected. If no voltage, replace the EOC.
