Possible Causes
Child lock function enabled, No cookware on the zone, Cookware not induction-compatible, Cookware diameter too small for the Midea induction coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooktop surface is cool. Do not attempt any internal repairs with power connected.
- Check child lock: On most Midea induction cooktops, press and hold the Lock or Key symbol for 3–5 seconds until the lock indicator disappears. Try turning on a burner again.
- Verify cookware:
- Use a flat-bottomed, ferromagnetic pan (cast iron or stainless steel marked “induction ready”).
- Ensure the pan base fully covers the marked cooking zone. Very small pans may trigger E0.
- Test with a magnet: if a magnet sticks firmly to the base, it is suitable.
- Clean the glass: Wipe the glass surface with a soft cloth to remove spills or residue that may interfere with pan detection.
- Power reset: Turn off the cooktop at the breaker for 2–3 minutes, then restore power and test again.
If E0 persists with correct cookware and unlocked controls, internal sensor or coil issues may exist and a technician should inspect the unit.
