Possible Causes
Cookware not induction-compatible, Cookware base warped or not flat, Cookware diameter too small for the zone, Poor contact between pan and glass surface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the glass is cool before handling cookware.
- Try a different pan: Use a known induction-compatible pan with a flat, smooth base that matches or slightly exceeds the cooking zone diameter.
- Center the pan: Place the pan in the center of the marked zone so it fully covers the induction coil area.
- Check for warping: Place the pan on a flat countertop and see if it rocks. Replace warped cookware.
- Clean the surface: Remove any food residue or burned-on spills that may prevent good contact.
- Reset power: Turn off the cooktop at the breaker for 2–3 minutes, then test again.
If E1 appears with multiple good pans, the zone’s induction coil or pan sensor circuitry may be faulty and requires professional diagnosis.
