Possible Causes

Household voltage below rated range, Undersized or long wiring run causing voltage drop, Loose neutral or line connection at terminal block, Overloaded circuit sharing other heavy appliances

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off power at the breaker before inspecting wiring.

  • Check circuit loading: Ensure the cooktop is on a dedicated circuit of the correct amperage as specified by Midea. Avoid running other high-draw appliances on the same circuit.
  • Inspect connections: With power OFF, open the terminal block cover and verify all lugs are tight and wires are fully inserted.
  • Measure voltage: Have a qualified electrician measure voltage at the cooktop while it is operating. Compare to the rating plate.
  • Reset: After correcting any wiring or load issues, reset power at the breaker for several minutes and test again.

If E4 persists with proper supply voltage, the power board’s sensing circuit may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
