Possible Causes

Broken oven sensor probe, Disconnected sensor harness, Burned or broken wire between sensor and control, Faulty sensor connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing the rear of the range.

  • Inspect sensor inside oven: Confirm the probe is securely mounted and not loose or hanging.
  • Check rear connections:
    • Pull the range out carefully.
    • Remove the rear panel and locate the sensor wires leading to the control board.
    • Ensure the connector is fully seated and wires are intact.

If wiring is intact, the sensor should be tested with an ohmmeter and replaced if open. If a new sensor does not resolve F3, the control board may have a defective sensor input circuit.
