Possible Causes
Aging oven temperature sensor, Control board calibration offset, Frequent door opening causing heat loss, Incorrect rack position or pan type
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use an oven-safe thermometer to verify temperature; avoid touching hot surfaces.
- Check actual temperature:
- Place an oven thermometer in the center of the oven.
- Preheat to a known temperature (e.g., 180°C / 350°F) and compare the reading after 20 minutes.
- Adjust calibration: Many Midea ranges allow temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu; refer to your manual to increase or decrease the displayed temperature.
- Use proper cookware: Dark or glass pans can cook faster; adjust recipes accordingly.
If the oven is off by more than about 20°C (40°F) and calibration does not correct it, the sensor or control board may need replacement.
