Possible Causes

Open bake heating element, Burned wire at bake element terminal, Failed bake relay on control board, Faulty oven selector or mode relay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before inspecting the oven interior or rear connections.

  • Inspect bake element:
    • Look at the lower element inside the oven for blisters, breaks, or burn marks.
    • Gently wiggle the element; if loose, mounting screws or terminals may be damaged.
  • Rear access (advanced):
    • Remove the rear panel of the range.
    • Check that the bake element terminals and wires are secure and not burned.

A visibly damaged or open bake element should be replaced. If the element is intact, the control board or wiring may be at fault and require professional diagnosis.
