Possible Causes

Failed convection fan motor, Obstructed fan blade, Faulty fan speed sensor or tachometer, Defective fan relay on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the fan.

  • Listen for fan: During convection mode, you should hear the fan running. If silent or noisy, suspect the fan motor.
  • Inspect fan blade: Remove the rear interior panel of the oven to access the convection fan. Check for food debris or screws obstructing the blade.
  • Spin test: Turn the fan blade by hand; it should spin freely. If stiff or seized, replace the convection fan motor.
  • Electrical test: With power disconnected, measure motor resistance and compare to specs. If open, replace the motor.
  • Control board: If the fan runs but F34 persists, the speed feedback circuit on the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
