Possible Causes
Failed cooling fan motor, Obstructed cooling fan, Faulty fan tachometer feedback, Defective fan control circuit on EOC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool fully before servicing.
- Access cooling fan: Remove the rear panel or top cover to reach the cooling fan assembly.
- Inspect and clean: Check for insulation, wiring, or debris interfering with the fan blades. Clean as needed.
- Spin and test: Spin the fan by hand; it should move freely. Measure motor resistance and compare to specifications. Replace if open or seized.
- Check wiring: Inspect the fan harness and connector for damage or loose pins.
- Replace control: If the fan is good but F76 persists, the electronic oven control board may not be reading fan feedback correctly and should be replaced.
