Display shows 'Err' or 'Error' and timer/oven functions are disabled

Safety: Always isolate from mains before removing covers.

• Soft reset: Turn off power at the cooker switch or breaker for at least 5 minutes. Restore power and check if the error clears.
• Check supply: Ensure the cooker is on a stable supply with correct voltage and that the neutral and earth connections are tight at the terminal block.
• Inspect control board: Remove the control panel and visually inspect the clock/programmer PCB for obvious damage (burn marks, cracked components). If present, the module must be replaced.
• Button test: Press each button on the clock to see if any are unresponsive or stuck. A jammed button can cause a generic error; if so, replace the fascia/clock assembly.
• Module replacement: If the error persists after reset and no external cause is found, replace the electronic clock/programmer with the correct New World part.
