Possible Causes
Burnt out grill element, failed inner or outer grill section, loose spade connectors, faulty grill selector switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate from mains before accessing the grill area.
- Check operation: Select full grill and then half grill if available. Note which section heats.
- Visual inspection: With the oven cool, inspect the grill element for visible breaks or bulges.
- Access terminals: Remove the top cover or rear panel to reach the grill element terminals. Disconnect and test each section for continuity. An open reading indicates a failed section.
- Replace grill element: Remove mounting screws inside the cavity, support the element, and withdraw it carefully. Fit the new New World grill element, ensuring correct orientation and secure terminals.
- Check selector: If the element is good but one mode does not work, test the grill selector switch for continuity in each position and replace if necessary.
