Possible Causes
Welded contacts in energy regulator, shorted triac on electronic hob board, miswired hob connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power immediately to avoid overheating and fire risk.
- Do not use affected zone: Leave the cooker isolated until repaired.
- Access controls: Remove the control panel or hob top to reach the energy regulator or electronic board controlling the zone.
- Inspect regulator: For mechanical regulators, look for signs of overheating. Replace the regulator controlling the affected zone.
- Electronic boards: If the hob uses touch controls, the power board triac for that zone may be shorted. Replace the hob power board as a complete unit.
- Verify wiring: Ensure the element is wired exactly as per the wiring diagram to avoid bypassing the control.
