Advertisements
Possible Causes
Blown oven bulb, heat-damaged lamp glass, faulty lamp holder contacts, wiring fault to lamp
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power at the mains before changing the bulb. Allow the oven to cool.
- Remove lamp cover: Unscrew the glass lamp cover inside the oven (usually by turning anticlockwise). Use a cloth for grip.
- Replace bulb: Fit a new high‑temperature oven bulb of the correct type (commonly 25W or 40W E14). Do not use a standard household bulb.
- Check holder: If the new bulb does not work, inspect the lamp holder for burning or corrosion. Replace the lamp holder assembly if damaged.
- Test wiring: With power off, check continuity from the lamp holder back to the switch or control board. Repair any broken wires.
