Possible Causes
Burned-out bake element, Burned-out broil element, Failed EOC bake/broil relay, Loose or burned element terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before touching any elements or removing rear panels. Elements can retain heat after use.
Step-by-step:
- Visual inspection: Look at the bake and broil elements inside the oven. Check for blisters, breaks, or burn spots.
- Test elements: Disconnect power, remove the rear panel, and unplug the element terminals. Use a multimeter to check continuity. Replace any element that tests open.
- Check terminals: Inspect element terminals and wiring for signs of overheating or loose connections. Replace damaged terminals and repair wiring.
- Control board check: If both elements test good and wiring is intact, the EOC may not be sending power. Verify output voltage from the EOC to the elements (advanced). Replace the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) if no output is present when a cycle is selected.
