Possible Causes
Open-circuit grill element, burnt element connection, faulty grill selector switch, overheated terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the cooker from the mains and allow the grill area to cool.
Steps to check:
- Visual check: Inspect the grill element for visible breaks, bulges, or dark burnt spots.
- Access terminals: Remove the top or rear panel to reach the grill element connections. Look for loose or burnt spade terminals.
- Test continuity: Disconnect the element and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates failure.
- Replace element: Remove mounting screws inside the grill cavity, carefully lower the element, transfer wires, and refit. Ensure all connections are tight and heat-resistant sleeves are in place.
- If element is OK: The grill selector switch or control PCB may be faulty and require further diagnosis.
