Possible Causes
Prolonged high-power cooking, blocked ventilation, failed cooling fan, temperature sensor fault on power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the hob and allow it to cool for at least 20–30 minutes.
Steps to check:
- Cooling period: After cooling, try using the hob at a lower power setting. If E2 returns quickly, investigate further.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the underside of the hob has free airflow and that no items are stored directly under it.
- Fan operation: Listen for the cooling fan when the hob is in use. If it does not run, refer to the F8 entry for fan checks and replacement.
- Heavy use: Avoid running multiple zones at maximum power for extended periods without breaks, especially if ventilation is marginal.
- If E2 persists despite good cooling: The temperature sensor or power module may be defective and require professional replacement.
