Oven or hob controls unresponsive, display shows LOC or a padlock symbol.

Safety: No internal work is required for this issue.

Steps to clear lock:

• Check user manual: Most Rangemaster ranges use a specific key combination (e.g. press and hold the Function and Minus buttons, or hold the Lock icon for 3–5 seconds). Refer to your exact model instructions.
• Try common sequence: Press and hold the Clock/Timer button and the Plus button together for several seconds until LOC disappears.
• Power reset: If the lock will not clear, turn off power for 2–3 minutes and try again.

If LOC remains and controls are still locked after following the manual, the touch control PCB or keypad may be faulty and require replacement.
