Safety first: Switch off power at the mains before changing the bulb. The glass cover and bulb may be hot.

Steps to check:

• Replace bulb: Unscrew the glass lamp cover inside the oven (often at the rear or side). Remove the old bulb and fit a new high-temperature oven bulb of the correct wattage and cap type.
• Inspect lamp holder: Check for signs of burning or corrosion. If the new bulb does not work and the holder is damaged, replace the lamp holder assembly.
• Check switch: If the lamp never comes on (even when the door is opened, on models with door-activated lights), the door switch or control relay may be faulty and require professional diagnosis.
