Timer counts down but oven does not start or heat when automatic cooking is set.

Steps to check:

• Manual mode: Confirm the oven heats normally in manual (non-timed) mode. If not, the issue is not the timer.
• Reprogram: Carefully follow the manual to set start and stop times. Ensure the oven is set to AUTO where required.
• Cancel automatic mode: Press the timer buttons to return to manual mode (often indicated by a hand symbol). Many ovens will not heat if left in AUTO with no program.
• If automatic mode never starts heating: The timer relay or PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
