Possible Causes

Open oven temperature sensor (RTD), Broken sensor harness, Loose or corroded sensor connector at control board, Damaged wiring from heat exposure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before testing or replacing components.

  • Access sensor: Locate the oven temperature sensor inside the oven (back wall). Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
  • Test resistance: With the sensor disconnected, measure resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature it should be ~1050–1100 Ω. If the reading is infinite (open) or far off, replace the sensor.
  • Check harness: If the sensor tests good, inspect the harness from the sensor to the control board for breaks or burnt insulation. Repair or replace the harness as needed.
  • Reconnect and test: Reconnect the sensor, restore power, and run a bake cycle to confirm the error is cleared.
