Display shows LOC or a lock icon and oven controls do not respond to temperature or mode changes.

Safety first: No internal service is required for this condition unless the keypad is defective.

• Disable control lock: On most RCA ranges, press and hold the LOCK or START key for 3–5 seconds until the LOC indicator clears. Refer to the user manual for the exact key combination.
• Power reset: If the lock will not clear, turn off the breaker for 1 minute, then restore power and try again.
• Keypad test: If the display remains locked and keys do not respond, the keypad may be faulty. Replace the control panel/touchpad assembly.
