How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool completely before attempting to release the lock.
- Wait for cooling: The door will not unlock until the oven cools below a safe temperature. Allow several hours if recently self-cleaned.
- Power reset: After cooling, restore power and press CANCEL. Listen for the lock motor. If it does not move, proceed to manual release.
- Manual release: Remove the top panel or rear panel to access the door lock assembly. Manually move the lock arm to the unlocked position to open the door.
- Inspect and replace: Test the lock motor and switches for continuity. Replace the door lock assembly if the motor is open or the mechanism is warped.
