Possible Causes
Burned-out bake heating element, Loose or burnt wire at bake element terminal, Failed bake relay on control board, Open thermal cutoff in bake circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the oven elements or rear panel.
- Visual inspection: Look at the bake element (bottom of oven) for blisters, breaks, or burn spots. Any visible damage means it should be replaced.
- Continuity test: Remove the rear panel, disconnect the bake element wires, and test the element with a multimeter. Replace the bake element if open.
- Check wiring: Inspect wires and terminals at the element and along the path to the control board for burns or loose connections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control relay: If the element and wiring are good, the bake relay on the electronic oven control board may be defective. Replace the board.
