Possible Causes
Weak or partially open bake element, One leg of power missing (electric models), Failing gas igniter (gas models), Damaged oven door gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power (and gas for gas models) before testing components.
- Check power supply (electric): Verify 240 V supply at the terminal block. If only 120 V is present, one leg is missing and must be corrected at the breaker or wiring.
- Inspect elements: Ensure both bake and broil elements glow during preheat. A non-glowing element may be open or not powered.
- Gas models: Observe the oven burner. If the igniter glows weakly and the flame is small or intermittent, replace the oven igniter.
- Door gasket: Replace a worn oven door gasket to prevent heat loss.
