Possible Causes
Tripped house breaker, Loose power cord connection, Open thermal fuse in control circuit, Failed electronic oven control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Verify power is off before opening any panels. High voltage is present at the terminal block.
- Check breaker: Ensure the double-pole breaker for the range is ON and not partially tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Verify voltage: With a qualified person, measure voltage at the terminal block. Confirm 240 V across L1–L2 and 120 V from each leg to neutral.
- Inspect thermal fuse: Some RCA models use a thermal fuse in the control circuit. Access the back of the control area and test the thermal fuse for continuity. Replace if open.
- Control board: If proper voltage reaches the control but it remains dead, replace the electronic oven control board.
