How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the appliance from mains. Allow the oven to cool.
Steps:
- Inspect element: Look at the lower element for cracks or burn spots. Remove the oven floor panel if necessary.
- Continuity test: Disconnect the element and test with a multimeter. Replace if open.
- Check rear connections: Remove the rear panel and inspect the element terminals and wiring for heat damage.
- Control board test: If the element and wiring are good, check for voltage at the element terminals when bake is selected (qualified person only). If no voltage, replace the control board.
Warning: Do not touch live terminals. Use insulated tools and proper PPE if testing live circuits.
