Possible Causes
Tripped safety thermostat, Failed main oven relay, Broken neutral connection, Faulty selector switch (on manual models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Confirm the oven is cool.
Steps:
- Check settings: Ensure a valid cooking function and temperature are selected and that the timer is not set to delay start or end.
- Safety thermostat: Access the top of the oven cavity and locate the safety thermostat. Reset if it has a manual reset button; replace if open and non-resettable.
- Inspect wiring: Check the main power connections and neutral link on the terminal block for looseness or burning.
- Relay board: On models with a separate relay board, inspect for burnt relays or tracks. Replace the board if defective.
- Selector switch: On non-electronic models, test the function selector switch for continuity in each position and replace if faulty.
Warning: Live testing should only be done by trained personnel with proper equipment.
