Possible Causes
Worn fan motor bearings, Loose fan blade, Debris caught in fan, Bent fan blade
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool completely.
Steps:
- Identify fan: Determine if the noise is from the internal convection fan (rear of cavity) or the cooling fan (top/rear of oven).
- Inspect convection fan: Remove the rear panel inside the oven and check for loose screws, warped fan blade, or debris. Tighten and clean as needed.
- Check cooling fan: Remove the rear or top panel of the range and inspect the cooling fan for obstructions and play in the shaft.
- Replace motor: If the fan wobbles or has excessive play, replace the fan motor and blade.
Warning: Do not bend fan blades excessively; replace them if damaged.
