Possible Causes

Open or shorted glass surface sensor, Failed induction or radiant power module, Loose sensor connection

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the cooktop to cool fully before lifting the glass.

Steps to check:

  • Access sensors: Remove mounting screws and carefully lift the glass top to access the temperature sensors attached to the underside.
  • Inspect sensors: Check that each sensor is firmly attached to the glass and that wires are intact.
  • Test suspect sensor: Use a multimeter to measure resistance; compare to service specs for your Stoves model. Replace any sensor that is open, shorted, or far out of range.
  • Check module connections: Reseat connectors on the power module for the affected zone.

Note: If you are not comfortable working around sharp metal edges and fragile glass, have a technician perform this repair.
