Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect electrical power and shut off gas supply (for gas models) before inspection.
For electric Tecnogas ovens:
- Inspect bake element: Look at the lower element for blisters, breaks, or burn marks. If visibly damaged, replace.
- Continuity test: Remove at least one wire from the bake element and test with a multimeter. A good element typically reads 15–40 Ω. Replace if open.
- Check wiring: Inspect wires from the element to the control board and terminal block for burns or loose connections.
For gas Tecnogas ovens:
- Observe ignition: With panels in place and gas on, start a bake cycle and look through the burner view port. If the igniter glows but the burner never lights, suspect a weak igniter or gas valve issue.
- Check igniter: A weak hot-surface igniter may glow dull orange and not draw enough current to open the gas valve. Replace if suspect.
- Inspect burner and orifice: Ensure the burner ports are clean and the orifice is not blocked.
If all heating components test good, the oven control relay may be faulty and the EOC should be evaluated or replaced.
