Possible Causes
Shorted keypad on touch panel, Stuck button, Failed electronic oven control, Moisture behind control glass
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the control panel.
Steps:
- Check for stuck keys: Press each button on the touch panel firmly and release. Look for any that feel different or remain depressed.
- Dry moisture: If F1 appeared after cleaning, allow the control area to dry thoroughly. You can remove the front panel and gently dry with a hair dryer on low, keeping distance to avoid overheating.
- Disconnect keypad ribbon: With power off, unplug the keypad ribbon from the control board. Restore power briefly. If F1 disappears with the keypad disconnected, the keypad is faulty.
Replace the touch keypad or the entire control panel assembly if the keypad is defective. If F1 persists even with the keypad disconnected, replace the EOC.
