Possible Causes

Stuck oven relay on control board, Faulty temperature sensor reading low, Blocked cooling airflow, Failed high-limit thermostat bypassed

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power immediately if the oven is overheating. Allow it to cool fully.

Steps:

  • Check temperature sensor: Test the oven sensor resistance at room temperature as described for E1/E2. Replace if out of spec.
  • Inspect control relays: With power off, inspect the EOC for signs of welded or burnt relay contacts. A relay stuck closed can keep the element energized.
  • Verify airflow: Ensure the cooling fan operates and vents are clear.

If the sensor is correct and airflow is good, but F2 recurs, the control board relay is likely faulty and the EOC should be replaced.
