Critical safety warning: If you smell gas strongly, do not operate any electrical switches or open flames. Ventilate the area and shut off the main gas supply immediately. Evacuate if the smell is intense.

• Shut off the gas supply valve to the appliance.
• Use a soap-and-water solution on visible joints and connections; bubbles indicate a leak.
