Possible Causes

Mains voltage too high or unstable, Incorrect wiring (230 V vs 400 V 2N configuration), Loose terminal block connections, Faulty power board voltage sensing circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the appliance at the main breaker before opening the terminal cover. Only perform electrical measurements if you are competent and have a suitable multimeter.

  • Check household supply: If other appliances flicker or trip, contact an electrician to verify supply voltage stability.
  • Verify wiring configuration: Remove the hob’s terminal cover and compare the bridge links and wiring to the Teka wiring diagram on the rating label. Ensure phase, neutral, and earth are correctly connected and tightened.
  • Tighten terminals: With power off, tighten all terminal screws on the hob and in the wall outlet/connection box to eliminate arcing and voltage drops.
  • Power reset: Restore power and test again. If E3 appears immediately, disconnect and do not continue using the hob.

When to call a technician: If supply voltage is correct and wiring is verified, the power board’s voltage sensing circuit may be defective and requires professional replacement.
