Possible Causes
Cracked or dirty spark electrode, Loose electrode wire, Blocked burner ports, Faulty ignition output for that burner
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off gas and disconnect power before handling electrodes.
- Clean burner: Remove cap and head, clean all gas ports with a brush or wooden toothpick. Ensure the electrode tip is clean.
- Check electrode gap: The electrode tip should be close (2–4 mm) to the burner surface. Gently adjust if bent.
- Inspect wiring: Under the cooktop, verify the electrode wire is firmly connected to the ignition module and not damaged.
When to call a technician: If F3 persists after cleaning and checking wiring, the electrode or ignition module output may need replacement.
