Possible Causes

Defective meat probe jack, Shorted or open probe circuit, Faulty oven temperature sensor, Control board input failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing rear or control panel areas.

  • Remove probe: If a meat probe is plugged in, remove it and see if the error clears.
  • Inspect probe jack: Check inside the probe receptacle for debris or moisture. Clean and dry carefully.
  • Test oven sensor: As with other sensor errors, measure the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to spec.
  • Check wiring: Inspect wiring from the probe jack and sensor to the control board for damage.

If the probe jack is damaged or shorted, replace the probe receptacle assembly. If the sensor and jack are good but Er47 persists, the control board input circuit may be faulty.
