Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the control area.
- Power cycle: Turn off power for 10 minutes, then restore. If F1 returns immediately, suspect the control board.
- Check keypad connection: Remove the control panel and reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the control board.
- Isolate keypad (advanced): Some Thermador controls allow testing by disconnecting the keypad ribbon and powering up. If F1 disappears with the keypad disconnected, the keypad is faulty; if it remains, the control board is faulty.
In most cases, F1 requires replacement of the electronic oven control (EOC) and/or keypad assembly. Follow Thermador service procedures for your specific model.
