How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool before adjusting hinges or gasket.

Inspect gasket: Check the entire perimeter of the door gasket for tears, gaps, or flattened areas. Replace if damaged.
Check hinge play: Open the door halfway and gently lift. Excessive play indicates worn hinges.
Door removal (advanced): Many Thermador doors can be removed by opening to the broil stop position and lifting off the hinges. Inspect hinges for bending or damage.
Adjust latch: Slightly adjust the door latch striker (if adjustable) to improve door pull-in.

Replace worn hinges and gasket to restore proper sealing. Misaligned or damaged hinge receivers in the oven frame may also need correction.

Oven door does not close fully or has a gap, causing heat loss and long preheat times.
