Possible Causes
Incorrect cookware (non-magnetic or too small), Overheated induction coil, Faulty pan detection sensor, Poor contact between glass and coil assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooktop surface is cool before lifting cookware or glass.
- Verify cookware: Use flat-bottom, ferromagnetic cookware. Check with a magnet; it should stick firmly to the pan bottom. Ensure the pan size matches the cooking zone.
- Center the pan: Place the pan in the center of the marked zone. E1 often appears if the pan is off-center or lifted.
- Allow cooling: If the cooktop was used at high power for a long time, allow it to cool for 15–20 minutes and try again.
- Inspect under glass (advanced): If E1 persists with proper cookware, disconnect power, remove the glass top, and inspect the induction coil and sensor harness for damage or loose mounting. Tighten mounting screws and reseat connectors.
- Replace coil module: If the coil or sensor is defective, replace the affected induction coil module for that zone.
